The 33rd Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, also known as the 2024 Paris Olympics, is an international Olympic event held in Paris, France. This Olympic Games will open on July 26, 2024 and close on August 11, 2024 local time. Some events will start on July 24, with a total of 32 major events and 329 minor events, with 206 countries and regions participating.

On September 13, 2017, Thomas Bach announced that the host city for the 2024 Olympics would be Paris. After Paris successfully bid for the Olympics, it became the second city in the world to host the Summer Olympics at least three times, after London, and also hosted the Olympics for the first time in a century since the 1924 Paris Olympics. This is the first Olympic Games with a completely balanced gender ratio, with a total of 10500 participating athletes, 5250 male and 5250 female

The proportion of male and female athletes is equally divided. On July 25, 2022, the Paris Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games announced the slogan of the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics, "Games Wide Open". On November 14, 2022 local time, the Paris Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games announced the mascot of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, "Phryge," which is a personification of the traditional French Phrygia hat. On June 23, 2023, the organizing committee of the 2024 Paris Olympics announced the torch relay route. On April 16, 2024, the Olympic torch was successfully collected at the ancient Olympia site in Greece, and the torch relay journey began. At 13:00 local time on July 14, 2024, the torch relay of the 2024 Paris Olympics began in Paris.

At 19:30 local time on July 26, 2024 (1:30 am Beijing time on July 27), the opening ceremony of this Olympic Games will be held on the Seine River in Paris. At the opening ceremony, French President Macron announced the official opening of the Paris Olympics. At the opening ceremony, the flag bearers of the Chinese sports delegation were table tennis player Ma Long and synchronized swimming player Feng Yu.
